If you've followed my journey, you know Waitaminute Digital has gone through more than a few rebuilds.
What started as an experiment with websites and automation evolved into something much bigger: a platform designed to showcase real client work, share lessons learned, and demonstrate what's possible through modern web development and AI-assisted workflows.
Recently, I made a major decision to simplify the technology stack behind Waitaminute Digital.
After experimenting with multiple content management solutions, I migrated the site back to a streamlined Django-powered architecture. The goal was simple: reduce complexity, improve maintainability, and focus on delivering results rather than fighting the platform.
This rebuild included:
• Upgrading to the latest Django release.
• Replacing temporary media storage with Azure Blob Storage.
• Building a branded administrative control center.
• Creating a dynamic portfolio system.
• Improving performance and deployment reliability.
• Laying the foundation for future automation and analytics.
More importantly, the rebuild reinforced a lesson that applies to every project: the best technology choice isn't always the most feature-rich one. Sometimes the best solution is the one that allows you to move faster and stay focused on your goals.
Going forward I'll be sharing lessons learned, client projects, automation experiments, AI workflows, and practical insights from building real-world solutions through Waitaminute Digital.
Thanks for following the journey. We're just getting started.
